Unity in Diversity Christmas Tree

Im excited this coming Christmas for many reasons. One of which is the project of Dusit Thani Hotel Manila.

Teddy Manuel's Christmas tree is a chandelier of blown glass balls, various blooms and lights. Hand blown glass balls are individually hung to form the shape of a Christmas tree. Each glass ball represents one person, unified into one beautiful output to shape the country, no matter what social and economic background he or she may have. The chosen foundation for Teddy Manuel Flowers and Events is Sagip Buhay Foundation which provides free medicine to indigent patients at the medical wards and ICUs of the Philippine General Hospital.

This year, walk through an expression of all things unified without uniformity, diversified without division as Dusit Thani Manila provides all its valued guests a uniquely festive Christmas atmosphere as it celebrates the most awaited season of the year with the theme Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree! Unity in Diversity.

Being home to the country’s shakers and movers, multinational corporations and famous personalities, Dusit Thani Manila aims to put together a symbolism of oneness by gathering a distinctive ensemble of Christmas Trees created by Dusit Thani Manila’s cream of the crop.

In this regard, Dusit Thani Manila invited 12 individuals and companies to join in this Christmas endeavor and unite in the spirit of the season by providing their very own symbolic Christmas Tree that best evokes their existence in the industry they are in.

Personalities and companies include Canon, Celine Lopez, HSBC, Lifestyle Asia Magazine, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Rajo Laurel, School of Fashion and Arts, Teddy Manuel, Tesoro’s Philippine Handicrafts, Tessa Prieto Valdes, Thai Airways and Tim Yap.

The hotel also invites all its in-house and dining guests as well as Facebook friends to cast their votes for the best Christmas Tree, where a Php100,000.00 will be donated to the winning entry’s chosen charity. Voting is from November 16 to December 25, 2010. Check out www.facebook.com/dusitthani.manila for updates.

Lim-Cuevas Wedding Blue Leaf

When Ms. Rita Neri asked me to meet Ms Cristina Cuevas ( sister of the bride/ Maid of Honor /Sulo Riviera Hotel) i thought it was just a regular client call and presentation. Our fist meeting was set at St. Lukes -The Fort because her only free time to discuss Ani's wedding her sister was while her dad having dialysis in the hospital. We met at Bizu (Audrey its gorgeous resto and yummy food by the way)  and there was Ms Lyn whos handling the account for Rita Neri

I was amazed how Ms Cristina prepared for the meeting with all the print out of my works and Jerry Sibal's  opulent setup. It was so easy for me to play around my creativity because her personality and energy was contagious! Take note she can be mistaken as Ms. Venezuela when you see her in person. I am so grateful to meet you and thank you for trusting me!

She booked Blue Leaf the entire venue Silk, Banyan and Jade pavillion. The challenge was TRANSFORMATIONS .  I need to convert silk pavillion  as "club" chill out area for cocktails while Banyan and Jade as contempo Baroque inspired. She also booked the garden for post dinner and make it "resort" feel.

Delectable food, ice bar and cheese buffet by Margarita Fores Cibo and dramatic lighting and sounds by Forscink. Beautiful cake by Penk Ching. My special drapes team to cover the ceiling to floor Meann Fondevilla.

Indeed a dream team!!!

Here the preview of my shoot " Wonderland" at Hotel Vida Clark Pampanga..

Wedding Essentials 10th Issue Special

Congratulations WE on your 10th issue!

Surprise!

I did not expect to be part of the 10th special "Dream Theme" issue, then got a call from Chinky Uy-Agregado asked me if i can do the event styling for her shoot for WE. The initial event stylist shes planning to work with got an unexpected emergency.

I was so excited yet having second thoughts because the shoot is scheduled three days after her call. I just made huge sigh and said YES i'l do it. With out any concept in mind i just prayed that i can pull this thing off. I was in Bellarocca Marinduque that time having a shoot as well for other magazine so it means i have two days to fabricate and order the flowers i need for the shoot.

The Team

I flew the next day and around 11pm we met Kaye Cunan our caterer who will provide the logistics needed for the shoot while we have a phone patch with Judy Uson for the cake. With the invitation on hand made by Noky Gatmaitan of Prinsonalies we agreed to come up with "Fantasy"theme. Chinky made a shortlists of the supliers that will be part of the team BlueLeaf for the venue and Lighting effects curtesy of Jamsy. While our photographer on the day is Terry Uy....perfect TEAM!
